Flexibility and User Friendliness
ACP is highly configurable. The screens, tabs, mandatory/optional data fields, calculations, workflows, etc., are all easily modified without vendor intervention, meaning there is no need to undertake timely, expensive and high risk software development to achieve the required functionality.
Flexibility and user friendliness are therefore amongst the most important key differentiators of ACP.
Core Banking System (CBS) vendors, for example, tend to address credit process automation through highly customised, inflexible add-ons that are increasingly recognised (too late) as unfit for purpose.
They are not flexible enough to quickly implement new products and changes to credit policies and they don’t sufficiently embed requisite credit oriented know-how. As processes evolve and business levels grow and diversify, such systems don’t provide the necessary level of self-sufficiency and independence.
Modularity

The modular and integrated nature of our solutions enables lenders to back test their credit ratings and approval processes by having in the same system the collections/recovery processes and data as well as the whole historical archive of a given loan application and its related collateral files.
This modular approach has the advantage of strictly limiting the integration process to current functional needs, which dramatically cuts down the amount of testing required for subsequent modules and reduces subsequent project duration, risk and cost. This is especially important if a financial institution is considering ACP as a strategic platform rather than simply licencing a one-off module. It means that additional requirements are satisfied through marginal increases to the data already present since software extensions build on previously implemented interfaces.
When a new module is added, it is able to natively communicate with other modules and benefit from the value added services already tested at the live production site, such as access rights, consistency checks and data validation features. Some other solutions are often comprised of multiple products, frequently under a single branding banner, each with different data marts. This requires organisations “reinventing the wheel” and re-living the pain of a new data mapping each and every time they want to increase their analytical capability.
Interactivity
ACP offers a powerful messaging layer that integrates with email and SMS systems enabling automatic generation of messages for task notification, escalation, decisions, generation of confirmations etc...
Such messaging features further decrease the turnaround time of credit decisions and ensure that relationship managers are aware in real time of the status of their clients’ credit applications.
Connectivity/Integration
ACP offers full two way connectivity/interactivity with surrounding information systems such as a core banking systems or credit bureaux.
All manual processes and double data entry are eliminated. Competing products often just output a credit file which has to be manually keyed into the CBS.
